Prayer & Praise

Do you have a prayer request?  Contact Ana Sanchez.

New:

Praise:  Robert Egle is now home after a long stay at Catered Manor Nursing Home. “Thank you for your prayers, cards and visits! Praise the Lord, I’m doing fine.” — Roberta

Rol Christian:  Rol went home to be with the Lord on May 10.  His memorial service will be Saturday, June 9, at 1:00 PM at Warner Avenue Baptist Church in Huntington Beach: 7360 Warner Ave., Between Warner & Gothard Streets.  Cards and notes can be sent to Vi at: 18851 Florida Street #215, Huntington Beach, CA  92648.

Lori Berkemer: After a recent scan, the doctors have discovered that the tumor in her stomach is not shrinking, but that the chemo has killed all the cancer cells.  While the news about the cancer cells is very positive, the tumor is large and the surgery to remove it becomes more complicated.  She will have surgery on May 25 to remove the tumor.

Chip and Heidi Clampitt: Pray for the Clampitts as they deal with the tragic loss of their baby, Elise Rae, at birth.  A memorial service for their baby girl will be held this Saturday, May 19, at 2:00 in the Chapel.

Sue Beeney Family:  Mike, Sue’s brother, is now in hospice care for terminal cancer.  Pray for Mike and his family, and Sue and Rick as they walk alongside them during this very difficult time.

Ongoing:

Kristen Allender: Kristen was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer.  She is at the end of her second trimester of pregnancy with her second child.  Scott and Kristen have decided to postpone surgery until after she delivers their baby.  Pray that the cancer does not spread to her lymph nodes while she awaits both. Also pray that Scott and Kristen can be fully present right now with their daughter, Kenzie, with this pregnancy and delivery of the new baby girl, and not have the weight of cancer and the surgery to come overshadow and take away from these events in this season.

Elizabeth Goeglein: May have had a stroke.  She has been hospitalized in Santa Monica.

Dora Hollowell:  In the hospital in Riverside.  You can call and encourage Dora at 951-788-3000, Room 220, bed B.  Dora was the next door neighbor of four young men from Grace who rented a house together to live in Christian community.  They faithfully witnessed to Dora and their other neighbors, and had a lasting impact on her life.

June Anderson:  June is battling cancer, and also suffers from severe back pain, which is unrelated to the cancer.  You can send June notes of encouragement at:  23341 Anza Avenue, Torrance, CA 90505.

Sam Sebabi:  Sam was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in March of 2011.  The progression of the illness is making it difficult for him to work.  Pray the doctors will be able to find the right combination of medications to help him control the symptoms of the disease.

Diane Stringham: Diane received a diagnosis of ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) in December.  Pray for Ed and Diane as they continue to deal with the progressive effects of this disease.
